Coresbond and Hesatek joined forces to develop Fresh Wash, a new cleaning unit for servicing air-source heat pumps. The unit combines efficiency, ease of use and reliability. It is lightweight, water-efficient and gentle on both the heat pump and its surroundings. Coresbond was responsible for developing the unit, manufacturing the prototype and completing the pre-series production run. The collaboration proceeded smoothly and delivered strong results, and the new unit has received praise for its excellent usability.
Maxei Finland Oy is an electrical services company that has served its customers reliably for more than three decades. In June 2024, the company expanded its operations by acquiring the Hesatek brand, which is known for the sale, installation and maintenance of air-source heat pumps and cooling equipment. Hesatek itself has operated since the 1990s.
Regular maintenance is essential for air-source heat pumps to operate efficiently and deliver energy savings. Thorough maintenance cleaning, recommended every two to three years, is a particularly important part of their upkeep. The unit previously used by Hesatek was heavy to operate and difficult to maintain. The joint project began after one of Coresbond’s partner companies recommended Coresbond to Hesatek.

The original unit was heavy, unreliable and required constant repairs.

Based on the tests, Coresbond designed a new concept that would better meet users’ needs.
During the development process, a prototype was built and tested in the field.

The result was a lightweight and straightforward unit that is easy to adjust and maintain. Its appearance, usability and safety were also taken into account in the design. Fresh Wash is gentle on both the heat pump being serviced and its surroundings. Its low water consumption makes it an efficient and practical solution for maintenance cleaning.
Maxei CEO Mikko Peltola says it is not yet widely understood how maintenance cleaning can improve indoor air quality and a heat pump’s efficiency. He describes the unit developed by Coresbond as by far the most effective cleaning unit currently used in the industry. The company plans to expand its Fresh Wash service beyond the Helsinki metropolitan area to other cities and is also considering international growth.
